Stonehouse.jpgNicola is 26 years old and is currently a Post-Graduate at the Royal College of Music studying with Kathleen Livingstone. She began her training in 1994 at the London College of Music studying with Pamela Bowden. She participated in master classes with Ryland Davies, Tina Ruta and more recently at the RCM with Roger Vignoles, Sarah Walker and Patricia MacMahon.

Upon leaving with a 2:1 degree Nicola qualifíed as a teacher whilst undertaking professional engagements. She participated in the 2000 Knack course run by the Baylis Programme for ENO, this culminated in the production of Shauna and Ron's Half Moon Café, a modem opera commissioned by ENO in which Nicola played the role of Leanne. Also in 2000, Nicola participated in the workshops mn by ENO and the Baylis Programme with the composer Jonathon Dove and Robert Tear to aid in the composition of a new Community Opera called A Palace in the Sky, which was later performed by groups from the local community at The Hackney Empire.

Nicola's professional Operatic Chorus debut was in 1997 with English Festival Opera's production of Turandot in the Holland Park Theatre. She has vvorked with Grosvenor Light Opera in lolanthe and last season with Opera Holland Park in Carmen. She repeated Carmen with Raymond Gubbay in 2002 at the Royal Albert Hall and Birmingham National Indoor Arena. She has just fínished working again with Opera Holland Park where she performed the role ofLay Sister in Suor Angelica and was part ofthe chorus for Pagliacci, Adrianna Lecouvreur and La Rondine.

Nicola is an experienced choral singer and is currently a regular member of The Choms of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, with whom she has toured Europe and has participated in CD recordings, most recently on Chandos with Richard Hickox in a compilation ofPercy Grainger choral works. Nicola was given a solo on this recording.

Last December Nicola was invited to sing in a concert at St John's Co- Cathedral in Malta's capital city. Nicola's recent solo engagements include, Rossini's Stabat Mater and Petite Messe Solenelle and the Mozart Requiem.
