GETTING THE MOST OUT OF WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER |
Andrew Miller |
The aim of these notes is to:
Windows Media Player I'm using Windows Media Player version 11 downloaded for free at the microsoft website (just Google "Windows Media Player version 11" and it'll probably be the top link) but this functionality has been around for quite a few versions. Changing the speed of playback If you find that the playback speed of the midids is too fast or too slow (if you are in a hurry to get the notes leared) then you can spped them up or slow them down. You just need the Play Speed Settings available to you - to have this visible you need to got to View and then Enhancements - Play Speed Settings should be visible in there somewhere. Once you select the Play Speed Settings then the following control should appear (or something like it) You can then move the slider bar to the right to increase the speed of the playback or to the left to slow it down for those really tricky bits - the Media Player does not remember the settings you had for a midi so there's no problem returning it to the orginal playback speed (or you can move the slider back to 1.0) Have fun!
